oh how I love to mix patterns! Stripes and florals are my absolute favorite, it gives an outfit such character and personal touch!

I am madly in love with the rose detail in this skirt around the waistline. It’s so elegant and sweet, and believe it or not, I found this treasure at Rugged Warehouse!! That place is certainly growing on me :)

and now for the tattoo talk.

I am seriously considering getting a bouquet of vintage flowers (roses quire possibly) on my upper, outer thigh. Here’s some lovely inspiration :)

I’m hoping I dont chicken out, but only time will tell. This could also be a monstrous tat, so the big bucks will have to be saved up to get a good one!

i hope your holidays were joyous and filled with warmth!! Mini photoshoot on Christmas Eve, so FUN!

I received many “elf” comments from my loving family, apparently that’s what my shoes give the impression of. I, however, love these booties from Rugged Warehouse :)

Bought these tights the beginning of autumn and they have been quite the staple to my wardrobe… I must have more!! :) jk, but it would be nice!

Good gracious, I love fall and winter time, but I do not love my pale skin, I need SUN!

This outfit was super comfy and I feel turned out great. The earrings are F21, the dress is a gift from a dear friend of mine, the belt is thrifted and the boots are from 2 years ago, LOVE THEM:)

I’m back from chicago!! It was such a fun time! I got to see so much of the city, it’s just so beautiful and BIG! This building that I am standing in front of is called the Water Tower. This is one of the two buildings that remained standing after the great Chicago fire of 1871.

I’m wearing thrifted sunglasses, thrifted scarf, thrifted belt, thrifted sweater (are you sensing a pattern here? hehe) Forever 21 top (doh! had to break the pattern), Forever 21 jeans, Hemp Converses.

Chicago was so much fun, I can’t wait to go back! I’ll be back soon with another post from the windy city.

Leggings are probably the best invention EVER, I just love them. So comfy (I’m not a big fan of jeans, I just hate to be uncomfy) and stylin’… I love to pair them with a big sweater. In this outfit, it wasn’t cold enough outside to wear a big sweater, so I wore a thin one that was long enough to cover my tush. I do not like to show my butt off in leggings, I gotta have a top covering it :)

so sorry for not posting for like a month…my life has been absurdly crazy, but I’ve kind of kept up with pictures so I will be posting them pronto!

For some reason I have Austin Powers in my head. Sorry about that. haha. So here are a pair of jean shorts someone was getting rid of. They were originally embellished with sequins (don’t ask why). I cut a few inches off the bottom and had some more fun with my exacto knife.

Below is a headband I made out of some extra fabric. I stitched some designs around it. Just a little somethin-somethin to spruce up the head. haha.

boots made for {walkin’}

just so you know…I have blogged about this dress in a previous entry. I’m just SO EXCITED for fall and I used the dress in a fall outfit, so I had to share!

The boots are a recent purchase that I have been wanting for SO LONG! I made it a point that for the fall I would have a pair just like these, and i’m so happy to have finally gotten them! They’re just so versatile, can’t wait to keep sportin’ these all autumn and winter long :)

The bag is vintage and it belonged to my mother. I want to say it’s from another country (i’m leaning towards Peru) but I’m not entirely sure. I’ll have to check up on that and let you know! I’m wearing another belt from my ridiculous collection, it is thrifted ( I believe that all the best belts are!) and so elegant, I love it.

Well that’s all for today! Rain is supposedly in the forecast, and if that’s the case, then put on some cute rainboots and go singing in the rain! It’s a lot of fun :)

So. Sunday was a spectacular day. I got to hang out with my little sister Gaby and let me just tell you, great minds do think alike! We both sported grass green outfits! She had on this amazing vintage vest paired with a black tank and grey jeans….and I sported this:

Most everything from this outfit came from the thrift store.

The shoes I got for about 3 dollars. The brand name is Fairy Tales Do Come True, and I’m absolutely in love with them. The purse was about 5, and it’s one of my favorites… I love the colors and design:) The belt was also a thrift store purchase, about 2 dollars and its something I use quite often.

And of course…the dress is from the thrift store. I actually just got it on Thursday, and I’m so happy with it! Its cute and girly, but I need a belt with it. If not it looks a bit like a maternity dress. Ha.

My sister and I stopped in this empty parking lot for these photos. Oh my goodness, we did not factor in the boiling hot asphalt and the blinding sun. It was scorching hot and I tried my hardest not to squint for the photos, but oh well! Super fun times with my sister and great pics for the blog! Hope you enjoy.

I know, it’s Monday. Ugh! But I hope your weekend was spectacular and filled with wonderful time in the sun! The days are counting down until fall begins, so enjoy it while you can!

mod {moo moo}

Today was a rainy Saturday and I loved every minute of it. I had bought a moo moo/nighty from a thrift store last week and got a chance to alter it a little. I took a good 10 inches off the bottom and added some buttons. I just can’t say no to floral. ha!

I used some of the extra fabric for a headband. Can’t wait to wear it.

On another note, I just LOVE guy/girl songs & bands. There’s just so fun and the harmonies are fab. It is music to my ears- obviously. The Saltwater Room by Owl City (featuring Breanne Düren) is perfect example.

Tie-dye is back baby, with cute new color combos on fun clothes styles. This isn’t tie-dye from your mom’s generation… it has come back with a look all its own! So enjoy it, but don’t over do it on accessories! Keep it hippie-ish with some grunge (I used some old school hemp chucks) and make sure the jewelry around your face is minimal. My go to is the earrings but with a baby doll dress like this, alonger necklace would go great as well!

It’s been a long long day, but I have been DYING to share this post all day! So happy I finally got to get on our fabulous new blog and share what I’ve got!

Right now, I’m listening to Jeremy Messersmith, The Silver City and it’s music that I LOVE. The soothing melodies with inspiring lyrics are enough to calm any anxiety I may be feeling. As of late my anxiety has been THROUGH THE ROOF with some things going on in my life and it’s just so nice to have this escape to blog about things I love and listen to music I more than just enjoy.
