Oh the beauty of going home… old clothes. I found a skirt… from 8th grade in my little sister’s closet. The whole front of the skirt is one giant pouch… pretty nifty.

so my color scheme has nothing to do with fall, it’s more like fairs and summertime. But hey, I’m doin’ it! I don’t follow seasonal color rules. Yep, that’s right, I’m the girl that wears white after Labor Day :)

This top is the perfect top for the weather today. It was super cold in the morning, like 50s, but by the afternoon it was a sunny 75 degrees out! So this short sleeved sweater top was puuuuuurfect for today. I got it last week at my favorite thrift store Unique for like 2 dollars. I even got a comment that my coworker’s 1st grade teacher wore a top like mine, and I take that as a compliment! I tend to go for the old lady look, don’t ask me why! Ha, I just like it :)

The jeans are my stretchy ones from Forever 21, so comfy! My shoes were 5 dollars from Walmart and I love love love them! So comfy and the radiant blue color of them is just so bright and beautiful, love them!

My earrings are from Forever 21, I love that place for accessories, and my bracelet is from the the thrift store. It is actually quite the noisy bracelet, people around me kept looking around wondering what that sound was, when it was my bracelet. Hehe like a gypsy!

The shades are also from the best thrift store around, Unique. They were like 3 dollars and so great!

Today was another gloomy day. I figured I would brighten up somebody’s day, if not just my own, with my bright orange pants (I refuse to call them ‘capris’ merely for the fact that I don’t like that word, so ‘pants’ it is!). They were an accidental find at my favorite thrift store one day while shopping with my once upon a time roomie Natalie (whom I miss oh so much). We were about to leave and it was CRAZY crowded because it was a sale day, when I spotted them two aisles away. It’s like it was meant to be! I didn’t even try them on, I just snagged them and hit up the register, and look how they fit!! Like a glove :)

The shirt is a find from a Texas thrift shop last summer. I got lots and lots of great short sleeve button downs like this one, all different patterns. It made me so giddy. And it works great with these capris for the 50s vibe of high waisted pants and rolled up shirts. Except you won’t ever catch me showin’ off the midrift, unless we’re at the pool. Gotta keep it tan anyway. HA!

On a side note, let me just tell you! My hair had a mind of it’s own today. That little buger of a curl (to the left of the center of my forehead) was hangin’ down all by its lonesome all day! Would not do what I wanted it to. So I just said forget it and hoped that It would just add character. Or channel a 50s Grease vibe and I could join the T-Birds, sah-weet!

Anywho….right now listening to Wolf Parade’s Lousy Pictures song.

They’re a fun band to rock out to, if you ever feel the need. I know I do, quite often lately :)

oooo I’m getting oh so sleepy.

Another day at work and hang out time with Polish! We might do something a little crazy… and if we do, we’ll be sure to blog about it!!!

So. Sunday was a spectacular day. I got to hang out with my little sister Gaby and let me just tell you, great minds do think alike! We both sported grass green outfits! She had on this amazing vintage vest paired with a black tank and grey jeans….and I sported this:

Most everything from this outfit came from the thrift store.

The shoes I got for about 3 dollars. The brand name is Fairy Tales Do Come True, and I’m absolutely in love with them. The purse was about 5, and it’s one of my favorites… I love the colors and design:) The belt was also a thrift store purchase, about 2 dollars and its something I use quite often.

And of course…the dress is from the thrift store. I actually just got it on Thursday, and I’m so happy with it! Its cute and girly, but I need a belt with it. If not it looks a bit like a maternity dress. Ha.

My sister and I stopped in this empty parking lot for these photos. Oh my goodness, we did not factor in the boiling hot asphalt and the blinding sun. It was scorching hot and I tried my hardest not to squint for the photos, but oh well! Super fun times with my sister and great pics for the blog! Hope you enjoy.

I know, it’s Monday. Ugh! But I hope your weekend was spectacular and filled with wonderful time in the sun! The days are counting down until fall begins, so enjoy it while you can!
