Seasons Greetings! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & New Year! I have been home for the holidays and while home I have a tendency to stay in my pjs or sweats all day. It can be depressing, so going forward I will be getting dressed each day. haha- that’s kinda sad for a 25 year-old to be saying, but to quote Outkast, “I’m just being honest…”

Anyway, I rummaged through my sister’s closest for an outfit for a family Christmas. I chose a colorful skirt and accented it with the greys of the striped shirt, wool blazer and silk/lace belt. Yes, it may have been texture overload, but it was a fun outfit. I loved the lining of the blazer, so I rolled the sleeves and added to vintage earring on the lapel to substitute a broach. I wore patterned black tights, red flats and topped it off with a bow barrett.

I can’t tell you where anything is from, except the blazer. It’s J Crew.

The belt worn at my waist is my favorite black braided belt (an outfit must for me), which is thrifted (shocker!) The striped tank is from H&M forever ago, the leggings from Walmart and the boots DSW. The bag is a new addition to my thrifred canvas bag collection and it’s my new favorite!

But good news, FALL IS HEEEEEERE!!! I’m a girl that loves her 4 seasons. It gives me a chance to mix things up, which I’ve [...]]]> I do apologize, it has been ridiculously long since I’ve posted, and it’s not like I have the excuse of “I’m in a different country”! I have no excuse, SO SORRY!

But good news, FALL IS HEEEEEERE!!! I’m a girl that loves her 4 seasons. It gives me a chance to mix things up, which I’ve realized is key to my sanity :) For me, today was one of the first days that really really felt like fall, YAY for long sleeves, layers, and scarves!

This top is thrifted from last winter, it’s so comfy! It’s actually Argyle brand and so soft! I fell in love with the florals on it, the deep colors and realistic look of them, I think it’s just beautiful.

The scarf is actually my aunt’s (keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn’t read this and ask for it back!) I believe it is from South America, not quite sure where though. It’s so unique, and the colors are the epitome of fall. LOVE IT!

MUSICA

now for the music portion of my post.

I have discovered the new album collaboration of Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson called Break Up. I didn’t think I would ever say this but Scarlett Johansson isn’t half bad at singing! She’s no Zooey Deschanel, who is my all time favorite and I will blog about soon, but she passes the test. Her voice is soothing and simple and collaborating with the amazing Pete Yorn was a fabulous idea! All in all it’s a good album and is great to sing along with!
