Scarf: Cashmere Pashmina from Prague (it’s my all-time fav) Dress, Belt & Boots: Thrifted Seasons Greetings! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & New Year! I have been home for the holidays and while home I have a tendency to stay in my pjs or sweats all day. It can be depressing, so going forward I will be getting dressed each day. haha- that’s kinda sad for a [...] Oh the beauty of going home… old clothes. I found a skirt… from 8th grade in my little sister’s closet. The whole front of the skirt is one giant pouch… pretty nifty. Headband: Forever 21 Blouse: Thrifted Skirt: 8th Grade Treasure Boots: Bakers Excuse the wrinkles please. haha. It was at the end of a long (but super fun) day with one of my BFFs in Indianapolis. Coming back to the states to face winter was quite the adjustment! All my clothes are in boxes in my brother’s basement… good thing I got a couple winter garments in [...] It’s my first weekend back in Northern Virginia and I was suck in a snow storm!! Not quite the 95+ weather I was used to! I was quickly reminded that dressing for colder weather is harder. Well, not hard… there are just more layers and body parts to cover. haha. Well, legging are my new [...] Tank: H&M years ago I found this cute tee for 50 cents at a local op shop. It is soooo hot here and I am cutting the sleeves off everything!! I just loved the collar. So darling huh?! I found this little number for $4. I love the embroidery at the top. It was a darling dress that I didn’t “need” but looks oh so cute. Ahh…. Dumpster Divin’. How I love thee. I found this tee on the side of the road. There was a community clean-up day and someone was clearing their closet. I found all kinds of goodies. yay! I LOVE birds (not real one though)… just in design. Sorry, I am not a huge animal lover. I [...] Sad story. I got these shorts (they were uber long) and then broke the zipper! I forgot they were zipped up and I went to take them off and pop! A couple of the “teeth” came loose. I improved with safety pins, but I think I will sew button in to fix my disaster. Anyway, they [...] I got this old shirt from a local ops shop and did a bit of altering. I cut off the sleeves and took it in on the sides and added some detailing while stitching it up. I was going to make a flower on the front, but did a monogram instead. I am off to prep [...] For some reason I have Austin Powers in my head. Sorry about that. haha. So here are a pair of jean shorts someone was getting rid of. They were originally embellished with sequins (don’t ask why). I cut a few inches off the bottom and had some more fun with my exacto knife. Below is a [...] Today was RAINING cats and dogs. I ran home and got soaked… you can’t totally tell in the pics, but I was wet. I got to go to a couple Ops Shops and found some treasures, including this watch. Though 4 hours after purchasing it, it died. True Story. haha During one of my Crafternoons [...] The other day I had a free afternoon and decided to put some old scrap fabric to use. I made some rosettes and sewed them onto a black tank. It is super easy and I like how it turned out. Fun afternoon project. The skirt was a $4 Target purchase and worth every last cent!! [...] There are a couple things I adore… free stuff and eyelets. This shirt has both. haha. I am “storing” it for a friend. I just love the front… romantic and girly. I paired it with a soft pink vintage belt and a pink headband I made out of extra fabric. I hope you had a great [...] It is October 1, the beginning of my favorite month! Back home I loved the changing of the seasons… cool weather , boots, layers and scarfs. It won’t quite be the same with temps in the 80’s, but still a great month nonetheless.
