I’m back from chicago!! It was such a fun time! I got to see so much of the city, it’s just so beautiful and BIG! This building that I am standing in front of is called the Water Tower. This is one of the two buildings that remained standing after the great Chicago fire of [...] Got to spend some time with my lovely girl friends Carrie and Jen. It has been WAY too long since I’ve spent time with them and I’ve missed them terribly. We got together to do a photoshoot in a park nearby and it turned out to be SO MUCH FUN! Well, it always is with [...] Sad story. I got these shorts (they were uber long) and then broke the zipper! I forgot they were zipped up and I went to take them off and pop! A couple of the “teeth” came loose. I improved with safety pins, but I think I will sew button in to fix my disaster. Anyway, they [...] Leggings are probably the best invention EVER, I just love them. So comfy (I’m not a big fan of jeans, I just hate to be uncomfy) and stylin’… I love to pair them with a big sweater. In this outfit, it wasn’t cold enough outside to wear a big sweater, so I wore a thin [...] I got this old shirt from a local ops shop and did a bit of altering. I cut off the sleeves and took it in on the sides and added some detailing while stitching it up. I was going to make a flower on the front, but did a monogram instead. I ran home and got soaked… you can’t totally tell in the pics, but I was wet. I got to go to a couple Ops Shops and found some treasures, including this watch. I can’t begin to explain why I haven’t been keeping up with my blogging responsibilities, but I’m back in gear baby! this blazer was picked up at a thrift store near my little sister’s house one saturday morning while thrifting. She wants to be a little Asain [...] The other day I had a free afternoon and decided to put some old scrap fabric to use. I made some rosettes and sewed them onto a black tank. It is super easy and I like how it turned out. Fun afternoon project. The skirt was a $4 Target purchase and worth every last cent!! [...] so my color scheme has nothing to do with fall, it’s more like fairs and summertime. But hey, I’m doin’ it! I don’t follow seasonal color rules. I hope you had a great [...] I found this splendid little hand knit top at a thrift store (shocker) that I regularly attend. Its super soft and seems so delicate. There’s no tag on it, that’s how I figure it’s handmade. These earrings are from Forever 21, another shocker I know :) grace. peace. and love love love! -curls It is October 1, the beginning of my favorite month! Back home I loved the changing of the seasons… cool weather , boots, layers and scarfs. It won’t quite be the same with temps in the 80’s, but still a great month nonetheless. I leave my house early so I bundled up against the frigid morning air, but by afternoon the sun was out and the wind was blowing, it was a beautiful 68 or 70 degrees today.
