So this isn’t quite the norm for my previous posts. Bringing you an outfit in action. haha. Last night I had a little shin-dig…. it always seems to lead to dancing, which I am totally okay with!! This is one of my favorite dresses… it’s Free People and I found it for like $10 at TJ [...] Today I am sporting a rad shirt I got from the thrift store by my house (Pennywise Thrift). It was worth the $3!! And don’t you love the shades?!?! I got them at a Goodwill in Lynchburg last fall. Don’t mind the bandage on my arm… got a little blood drawn today. Making sure I’m healthy [...] Hello, Hello… It’s joint post day! Get excited! We have spent the whole day together selling all kinds of treasures! Curls donated bags of goodness for the great Australian cause. ha! The yard sale was a hit and we may even go for a round two tomorrow…. too bad Yard Sale Bloodbath wasn’t here to [...] Tonight I hit the town for my friend, Isabel’s birthday. After some sushi and laughs, we stalked the Real World House in DC. Basically parked out front and took some pics until the security guard asked us to keep moving. ha! I never grew up watching the Real World- product of no cable. Regardless it [...] So tonight I FINALLY got to hang out with two girlfriends I haven’t seen in FOREVS…I’ve missed them SO MUCH! We met up in the City and had some yummy Panera. Such a great time catching up…it was well needed! YAY for fall and friends coming back for the semester :) these shoes are one of [...] I believe I’ve stated this in recent post, but I’m a BIG fan of BIG earrings. Ok, maybe not BIG BIG earrings, but definately loud, statement, flashy (enough adjectives for ya??) earrings. I like them to make a statement. The earrings that I sported today were actually from a place called Lake Anne. Lake Anne is a [...] I used to ALWAYS wear heels… and now I hardly ever do… maybe because it’s summer. Yeah, that must be it. Well, today I mixed a “anthro” looking skirt with a tee and demin vest. Once again, I pulled up the skirt to make it high-waisted. The funny thing is, the skirt is still past [...] So today was my first day back at classes…ugh. I worked all day and had class till 10pm….needless to say I’m EXHAUSTED, so this is going to be short and sweet. In honor of my first day of class, I wanted to do back to school photos. But it was early, [...] As promised, here come the skirts… I got this one like 6 years ago. You know, back when you tried to wear your pants and skirts uber low. Well, thankfully times have changed. I rolled up the skirt and belted it. The pattern is so bright and vibrate… it almost looks Lilly Pulitzer, but it’s [...] So I’m going to be completely honest in this post. My outfit today got mixed reviews at work. One girl told me that her mom would have worn the EXACT thing back in the 80s (which I take as a total compliment!!!) while another guy I work with told me he couldn’t STAND the shirt. Oh [...] I think I’m going to be wearing lots of skirts in the next week… i often forget about the skirts I have and summer is almost over so, I’m switchin things up. I thought I’d just give everyone the heads up. ha! I often resort to dresses, because I can get ready really [...] I absolutely LOVE this dress… mainly because “Nancy” is embroidered on the front (by like a 5 year-old). It is barely legible, but cute nonetheless. It’s a thrifting find…as is the belt. My hair is officially in need of something… hopefully a new do this week. On an additional note, “Fancy Nancy” books are some of [...] So. Sunday was a spectacular day. I got to hang out with my little sister Gaby and let me just tell you, great minds do think alike! We both sported grass green outfits! She had on this amazing vintage vest paired with a black tank and grey jeans….and I sported this:
Most [...] Simplicity is something that I love. Subtlety is what I desire to have in most outfits. The subtle accesories are the ones that can stand out the most. Oximoron? Perhaps. But it’s something I try to follow in fashion. For this outfit, I used one accessory. These great pastel yellow earrings with bright pink and white [...] Tonight I wore a dress from “Roxy’s Closet” (that is a fancy way of saying, “I borrowed it from my roommate”). Ha! It is officially crunch time as I [...] This afternoon my dear friend Jessica and I went on a little excursion, trying out her new camera. She has a great eye and is super creative! I took her to my secret place in downtown Vienna (top pic). It’s like a hidden treasure… if you like rundown and grunge. Today was a BUSY working/errand/selling day. [...] Friday. I feel like this week has gone by SO SLOW, for no apparent reason really. I’m always grateful when Friday makes its way around again! The weather was so finnicky (sp? no idea!) outside today that it took me all day just to get 3 photos! One second it was sunny, the next pooring down [...] Today was a good day! I woke up early, had coffee with a dear friend and work wasn’t too slow. I love it when the day just seems to float on by, while I sit at work, listening to my headphones and working the time away. When 5 o’clock finally came around, I high-tailed it over to [...] Driving to my weekly visit with the Vaughn’s I stopped at the local high school to make this post possible. It was a little awkward when this random guy on bike offered to help. He even pulled out his ID to prove he wasn’t a creeper. That didn’t help his cause. So lately I have been [...] |
